Fried Spicy Squid

Ingredients:

250g squids

1/2 red chili pepper

5 cloves garlic

Mixture1(1T butter)

Mixture2(1t sugar, 1t white pepper powder, 2t Nori powder*, 1/4t rice wine)

[t = teaspoon; T = tablespoon; C= cup]

 

Method:

1)Peel the garlic, wash the red chili pepper and remove the seeds, and mince both. Remove the intestines and ink sac of squids and wash clean.

2)Heat 3 cups oil in a pan. Deep-fry the squids until golden brown in medium heat, take out and drain up for use.

3)Melt Mixture1 in the pan. Stir-fry the garlic and red chili pepper and slightly fry the squids. Add Mixture2 and stir properly marinated and serve on plate.

 

TIP:

This uniquely flavored dish is rich and creamy. Thus, not only the fishy smell of squids is removed but the freshness and fragrance of the ingredients are further enhanced.

It is important to monitor the oil temperature and heat during deep-frying the squids so that they are evenly heated without sticking onto the pan. Thus, the fried squids can have a nice golden color.
