Ingredients: 1 turnip 1/2 red chili pepper 4 cloves garlic Mixture1(1/2t salt) Mixture2(1/2t spice oil, 1/2t soy sauce, 1/2t sugar) [t = teaspoon; T = tablespoon; C= cup]
Method: 1)Peel, wash, slice and shred the turnip and put the shredded turnip in a bowl. Add Mixture1 to soften the shredded turnip, rinse off the salt, take out and drain the turnip keep it aside. 2)Peel and mince the garlic, wash the red chili pepper and remove the seeds, and shred both. 3)Put the pickled turnip in a container, add Mixture2 and let it sit for 3-4 hours before serving.
TIP: The simple and spicy flavor of turnip produces an appealing scent and its fresh and crunchy bite makes it a mouthwatering appetizer. Turnip has little fibrous tissues, so it is necessary to pickle it with salt until soft to prevent the old and hard bite and to achieve the light taste.
