Malay Banana Leaves Rice (Lontong)

Ingredients: (Serves 4-6)

2 cup of Fragrant Rice

Banana Leaves

Method:

1. Scalding banana leaves, clean and dry.

2. Wash rice thoroughly, drain and set aside.

3. Wrap the rice with banana leaves loosely into cylindrical packets with about 10-12 cm long with 5 cm in diameter. Fasten with toothpick together.

4. Heat up a large pan with water, put in the banana leave rice and boil for 3 hours.

5. Once the rice is cooked, set it aside and cool it. Cut into 5 cm sections and serve.
