Malay Beef in Soy Sauce (Daging Masak Kicap)

Ingredients: (Serves 4-6)

500 grams Beef

10 large onions

10 clove Garlic

4 cm piece Ginger

3 tbsp curry powder

2 tbsp Pepper

2 tbsp Tamarind Juice

2 Carrots

6 tbsp Corn Oil

1 cup Think Soy Sauce

6 cup Water

1 tbsp Vinegar

1 tsp Tomato Puree

Quarter tsp Salt

Method:

1. Sliced large onions and garlic thinly.

2. Pounded ginger finely.

3. Cut carrot into 3 cm in lengths.

4. Wash and drain the beef, cut into bite sized pieces.

5. Mix the beef cube with curry powder, pepper, salt, tamarind juice, tomato puree and set it aside for 30 minutes.

6. Fry the ginger, garlic, large onions in a pan with some oil, until golden brown in color and smell fragrant.

7. Put in beef and stir well. Pour in soy sauce and carrots and mix well.

8. Pour in water and let it boil over a medium flame, let it boil and until the beef is tender.

9. Serve hot.
