Malay Fried Chilli Chicken (Ayam Goreng Berlala)

Ingredients: (Serves 6-8)

1 whole Chicken

80 gram Red Chillies

5 clove Garlic

5 Shallots

4 cm piece Ginger

4 cm piece Fresh Turmeric

1 cup of Oil

Salt to taste

Method:

1. Wash and cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

2. Fry the chicken with some oil until half cooked.

3. Grind garlic, red chillies, shallots, ginger and fresh turmeric finely. Add in some salt.

4. Fry the ground ingredients with half cup of oil until fragrant.

5. Add in the chicken pieces and stir well. Cook until the chicken is tender. Add in some water if the gravy is getting dry. Continue simmer until the sauce is thick. Serve.
