Malay Mango Chutney (Acar Mangga)

Ingredients: (Serves 4-6)

4 Black Peppercorns

A Small Piece of Belacan or Shrimp Paste (optional)

1.5 tsp Granulated Sugar

1 ripe Mango

A dash of Salt

Method:

1. Fry the shrimp paste until it is fragrant.

2. Pound or blend the black pepper, salt and shrimp paste until fine.

3. Peel the mango and slice thinly. Mix the mango with the ground ingredients and slightly mash the mango.
