Malay Roast Beef Type 2 (Ros Daging)

Ingredients: (Serves 6-8)

2.5 kilograms Beef

300 grams Ghee

1 tin Evaporated Milk

8 cm piece Ginger

6 Shallots

1 tsp Pepper

5 Cardamons

6 cm piece Cinnamon Stick

Coriander leaves with chopped finely

Method:

1. Wash and sliced the beef thinly, drain and set aside.

2. Pound the ginger and extract the juice.

3. Pound shallots and garlic finely, rub over the beef sliced, set it aside for 1 hour.

4. Heat up ghee and add in beef, fry with oil with lower flame. Stir constantly until the beef is tender.

5. Put in spices, coriander leaves and salt to taste.

6. Simmer until the beef is tender and well done.
