Malay Tomato Rice (Nasi Tomato) |

Ingredients: (Serves 4-6) 3 tbsp Ghee 8 Shallots 1.5 cup of water 3 star anise 2 Candlenuts 5 cm Cinnamon 3 cup of Tomato sauce 2 cup Long Grain rice 2 cloves Garlic 2 cup evaporated milk Method: 1. Wash the rice well, drain and set aside. 2. Heat up pan and fry ghee, star anise, cinnamon, candlenuts, garlic until smell fragrant. 3. Pour in water and let it boil. 4. Add in evaporated milk, tomato sauce and rice. Stir well and cover the pan. Cook with low heat until the rice is cooked. 5. Serve with fried shallots, spring onions and celery. |
