General Ingredients: (Serves 6-8) 800 gram finely minced meat 1 large finely chopped Onion 1 clove crushed Garlic 5 cm piece fresh Ginger finely grated 2 fresh Red or Green Chillies with seeded and finely chopped 4 tbsp chopped fresh Coriander 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Garam Masala Gravy Ingredients: 4 tbsp Ghee 2 large finely chopped Onions 1 clove finely chopped Garlic 5 cm piece finely chopped fresh Ginger 1 tsp Turmeric Powder 1 tsp Garam Masala 1 tsp Chili Powder 3 ripe quartered Tomatoes 1 tsp Salt 3 tbsp chopped Coriander Some Lemon Juice Method - Meatballs: 1. Mix the minced meat with all the general ingredients thoroughly. 2. Shape into balls. Method - Gravy: 1. Heat up a big saucepan with some ghee, add in the meatballs fry for a while, remove and set aside. 2. Using the same oil, add in onions, garlic and ginger to fry until they are soft and in golden color. 3. Add in turmeric, garam masala, and chilli powder. Continue to fry for 3-5 minutes. 4. Put in tomatoes, meatballs and salt. Cover up the pan and simmer for 25 minutes, until the gravy gets thicken and the meatballs soft. 5. Add in the chopped herbs and lemon juice, stir well. 6. Serve while hot with fragrant rice or chapattis. |
