North Indian Style Mirch Ka Salan

Ingredients: (Serves 6-8)

600 gram Mutton or Lamb

8 Green Capsicums

6 tbsp Oil

1 tsp Cummin

1 tsp Chilli Powder

1 tsp Turmeric Powder

1 tsp Garam Masala

600 gram Potatoes

1 cup Yoghurt

1 tsp Sugar

1 bunch Coriander Leaves

8 clove Garlic

3 cm piece Ginger

15 Shallots

1 large Tomato

Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grind garlic, ginger and shallots finely into paste.

2. Heat up a pan with some oil, add in cummin seeds.

3. When cummin seeds crackling, add in mutton and brown well.

4. Add in chilli powder, ground spices, turmeric, garam masala, salt and sugar to taste. Fry and mix well for 5 minutes.

5. Add in capsicums and potatoes and fry for another 5 minutes.

6. Add in yoghurt and fry for another 5 minutes with mixing the ingredients well.

7. Add in 2 cup of water and simmer with medium low fire until the meat is tender.

8. Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
