Special Spiced Mutton

Ingredients: (Serves 6-8)

1.5 kilograms cubed boneless Mutton

1.5 cup plane Yoghurt

5 cm piece shredded Ginger

6 clove Garlic

1 tsp Cummin

1 tsp Khus Khus

1 tsp Coriander

6 Cloves

Half tsp Black Peppercorns

3 tbsp unblanched Almonds

2 medium chopped Onion

1 tsp Turmeric powder

1 cup Water

6 tbsp Oil

Salt to taste

Coriander Leaves for Garnishing

Method:

1. Marinate mutton with yoghurt and set aside for 30 minutes.

2. Grind cloves, ginger, cardamom, peppercorns, garlic, khus khus, coriander, and almonds, add some water to form a thick smooth paste.

3. Heat a pan with some oil, fry the onions until golden brown. Put in turmeric and ground spices and fry for couple of minutes, continue stir the mixture. Add some water to avoid the mixture get dries.

4. Set to boil and add in the meat mixture, fry for 15 minutes with medium heat.

5. Reduce heat, cover up the pan and simmer for 30 minutes until the meat is tender.

6. Remove cover, add in some water and cook until the mixture dries.

7. Put in mixed spices and coriander leaves. Move into a ovenproof dish and bake in oven with low heat setting for 25-30 minutes.
