Traditional Puri

Ingredients: (Serves 4-6)

300 gram Indian Whole meal Flour

120 gram Ghee

Lukewarm Water

Proper portion Vegetable Oil for deep frying

Quarter tsp of Salt

Method:

1. Mix salt and ghee into flour.

2. Add water in gradually into the mixture until it forms a firm dough.

3. Separate the dough into 3 cm pieces and roll out thinly.

4. Heat up the deep pan with the vegetable oil until you see some tiny bubbles vaporating.

5. Drop the thin dough or raw puri into the pan, it will immediately puff up and float to the surface if the oil is with right temperature.

6. Fry until golden in color, set aside to drain or use greaseproof paper to dry it.

7. Serve hot or immediately with dry curry.
